Thyatian Soldier's Oathby James Ruhland
This is another of the changes initiated by Eusebius in the aftermath of the Final War with Alphatia (AKA "Wrath War"), intended to be a constant reminder to Thyatians of their duties and as a preventative measure against a relapse into decadent behaviour, such as that which Valerias seduced the Thyatian Armed Forces into in the run-up to that conflict.
I am a Thyatian Soldier.
I am loyal to the Emperor and his representatives, and serve the Senate and People of Thyatis.
I will always place the Empire first.
I will never accept defeat as final.
I will never quit.
I will never leave a fallen Thyatian.
I am physically, spiritually, and mentally disciplined.
I am trained and proficient in my military skills.
I will always maintain my arms, my equipment, and myself.
I am an efficient professional.
I stand ready to destroy the enemies of the Thyatian people.
I am a Guardian of Civilisation, the Rule of Law, and the Thyatian Way of Life.
