Here's another thing I've wanting to post here for a long time but never did, because I never finished it. It's based on my work with GP, an attempt to underestand better the baronial timeline.

The idea is that, by 900 AC, the GoH region is dominated by the traladarad city-states at the eastern half (please read), and LB outposts at the other: New Hope Outpost, Knights' Outpost (mainly inhabited by LB dwarves, allied with nearby elves; modern Castillo de los Hidalgos), Brown Lupin Outpost (garrisoned mostly by Pistolero lupins; modern Pardalupe) and Naval Outpost (mostly tanagoro; please read).
Besides, there are also the old otzil (oltec) ruins, and the last otzil city-state, Tehil (modern Ciudad Tejillas). Up the Great Escarpment, it would be mostly dominated by sparse elven settlements.

Notes about the Baronial Timeline

by Átila Pires dos Santos

Attempt to expand the baronial timeline (900-1000 AC):

902 The Barony of Narvaez is founded along the coast by an expedition of Ispan people from the distant Thyatian Empire. Narvaez claims a great deal of land, from the Claw Peninsula to the Bay of the Siren (Baia da Sereia), including land already occupied by human, elven, dwarven, and tortle inhabitants.

--After ispan explorers found and plundered an old Otzil lost city (901 AC?), a great number of ispan colonists arrived seeking for an easy way to enrich. Wealthy but small and poorly defended LB outposts are attacked (New Hope Outpost, Knights' Outpost and Brown Lupin Outpost; Maremma joined the Ispans and Pistoleros were defeated at the Battle of Matacán), plundered and later claimed as part of the thyatian Barony of Narvaez. Puerto Morillos is founded at the site of the old otzil city.
Vila Franca (more or less like RW Vera Cruz) is founded as a easier route for another otzil lost city, later found (903 AC?), which became Ciudad Quimeras (appearently one of the parts of Ixion's Mannequin was here (hinted by both RS and SCCB), and the city grew surrounding it)--

903 The Dominion of Vilaverde is founded by Ispans and people from Yavdlom.

--A "proto-verdan" explorer, possibly looking for the famed lost otzil city of "Burgo d'Ouro" (golden burg), arrived at Quilombo and found the N'Goro/Oiobá/otzil native people about to be defeated by a group of invading ogres from Terra Vermelha. Feeling abandoned by the government at Janaína, they took the thyatian explorer as their new "baron", splitting the nation in half (Vilaverde taking Porto Preto (Quilombo) and Cafundó)--

905 Nueva Esperanza (New Hope) declares independence from Narvaez.
906 Dwarves and elves in lands claimed by Narvaez declare themselves the Barony of Montoya.

--Obviously something happened here, possibly many colonists left the land, returning to Thyatis after the gold flow ended and the barón lacked enough troops to keep all land originally claimed--

908 The State of Copetez is founded in the plains.
909 The Barony of Montejo is founded inland from Narvaez; the Dominion of Tanaka is founded by people from Yavdlom.

--Two Gaucho baronies were just founded; pehaps Narvaez, lacking enough troops, simply doesn't care about these poor peasants and never sent any army for defending them from goblinoid raids--

--Possibly thanks to the poor rule of the Oiobá/Obá of Janaína resulted in a revolt; the Oiobá/Obá is overthrow, fleeing to Senzala; Tanaka becomes a verdan-stiled barony, and it's capital adopted a verdan name, based on the old outpost name, Vila Naval (modern Velha Navalha)).--

913 The Barony of Narvaez splits between two heirs; the northern section remains Narvaez, and the southern portion becomes the Barony of Sotto.
915 The State of Aranjuez is founded in the plains near Montejo.

--The first barón of Narvaez died. Using the names I picked, he was Miguel de Narvaez, and one of his heir is his nephew, the paladin Estéban de Sotto. At some point, de Sotto led a expedition into the otzil city-state of Tehil (actually, the first successul expedition; others happened before, but usually the few survivors returned in panic). There, he discovered that it's secret was another of Ixion's artfacts, La Careta de la Barrera (the same one that modern Saragón posses today); it was kept at the fortress near El Grande Carrascal, but no one was currently willing to use it because of it's known curse. He, however, accepted the role, becoming de facto ruler of Tehil and subordinate of Miguel. When he died, he knew about Miguel's son religious orthodoxy and claimed independency, as another eligible heir of Miguel. Unable to prevent that, the barony splitted. Indeed, he was right, since two years later, he expelled all "unfaithful" (the Aranjuez) to the unprotected lands west of Narvaez, where they were forced to form the new state of Aranjuez--

916 The Barony of Cristobal is founded several miles north of Narvaez.

--This one is still a mistery to me... Pehaps the first "ispan elven" barony?--

921 The inland State of Escudor breaks from Sotto.

--Or Estebán died, or he suffered a couple, (he or a new bearer of the artifact) being able to hold only it's fortress, that becomes the indepent state of Escudor (which has the very suggestive name meaning "shield"). The new baron of Sotto have, obviously, a tyranic behaviour--

926 The Barony of Rivera is founded within Sotto, causing a small civil war; Rivera achieves independence.

--Another good way to note the new baron's tyranical behaviour is this event, when what was supposed to be Sotto new capital claim independency, becoming basically a city-state. Not having the Barrier Mask, Rivera has to struggle for independence (which may mean that it is a somewhat old town; pehaps Estéban founded it even before becoming barón of Sotto, sending the capitol out of Tehil; either way, it's back to Tehil now)--

929 The State of Texeiras is founded along the eastern part of the Bay of the Siren.

--The Oiobá/Obá is finally overthrow, if he wasn't before and the place was in a anarchic period. Thew new state, just like Tanaka, becomes a verdan-stiled barony--

930 The Barony of Marino declares independence from Narvaez, claiming the western shores of the Bay of the Siren.

--Inspired by the neighbour Texeiras, Marino also wants independence, since it's population is maily "proto-verdan", different from the rest of Narvaez, and they held Vanya as even more important than Ixion; no longer needing it for reaching Quimeras and feeling it's population as heretic, Naravez didn't bother to stop it (for now)--

934 The Barony of Gargoña is founded in western Sotto; after a short civil war, Gargoña is granted independence.

--Another rebelion because of the tyranny of the barón of Sotto--

935 The Barony of Quimeras declares independence from Narvaez.

--Another religious problem in Narvaez; this may have relation with Vanya's role within the Church of Narvaez--

936 Sotto declares war on Gargoña; after a few months, Gargoña conquers Sotto and absorbs all but the southern portion, which organises into the State of Almarrón. The official name of the culture of all baronies except Vilaverde and Texeiras is changed from Ispan to Espan; the language spoken is Espa.

--The old Sotto tyrant is overthrow and the brony is now divided into four states--
--Religious and cultural reorganization; Old religious orders claims the status of independent Churches--

937 Narvaez attacks Quimeras and Montoya, re-absorbing both after a short war.

--Narvaezan Counter-reformation against the formation of those new churches result in re-absorving Quimeras; The weak Montoya is also conquered--

939 To encourage internal consolidation, Almarrón strikes south and takes over Nueva Esperanza and surrounding territories.

--That's basically it, no big secret here--

940 The Barony of Alcazar is founded near Cristobal.
941 The Barony of Torreón is founded south of Cristobal and Alcazar.

--Inspired by the foundation of the Church of Vanya and the finding of an (possibly fake?) relic of Vanya, ispans feel inspired to return to their old "conquistas", the elven and elven/otzil states up the Great Escarpment, quite close to Marino, are the obvious targets, and Vila Franca become a pilgrimage centre, from where each expedition then goes north; it's possible that ispan elves already settled with their relatives up there and estabilished their own states (with elven names and, thus, not listed as "ispan" states at the timeline); a second wave of migrant elves may have arrived there three years after, after Montoya was conquered--

947 The State of Bigotillos is founded north of Copetez.

--The gaucho population is growing, and new lands are needed, where new haciendas are built--

951 The Barony of Babosas is founded east of Vilaverde.

--The traladaran/lupin city-state of Gonica was conquered by Hule recently (950 AC) and Boyarski it the next hulian target. The city-state of Boyarski is reorganized as a verdan barony (possibly its population was already more verdan that traladaran), and the capitol is renamed Porto Cavalcante--

958 Texeiras conquers the Barony of Marino and Tanaka.

--Somehow, Texeiras found a way to take both Marino and Tanaka by surprise; it may be related to Vanya's relic--

962 The Barony of Los Elegidos is founded north of Torreón, Alcazar, and Cristobal.

--More ispan expansion up the Great Escarpment--

963 Yazi gnolls attack Montejo and Aranjuez.
966 Montejo and Aranjuez unite diplomatically to form the Barony of Saragón.

--Two weak states merge in order to become a stronger state--

967 The Barony of Morales is founded just north of Torreón, between Cristobal and Alcazar.

--More ispan expansion up the Great Escarpment--

968 Torreón wars on its neighbours, conquering and absorbing Morales and Alcazar; Cristobal and Elegidos are weakened but do not fall. Elite Torreóner warriors use swords of red steel, the first recorded instance of its use in a large battle.

--More ispan expansion (and now, unification) up the Great Escarpment--

969 Torreón discovers deposits of cinnabryl in Terra Vermelha, and moves to take over those lands; to forestall a possible war over mining rights, diplomats gather and form the Treaty of Tampicos, which is signed by Torreón, Vilaverde, Texeiras, and Hule.

--That's basically it, no big secret here--

970 Elegidos disappears without a trace.

--One of the big misteries of the setting... The Red Curse, pehaps?---

971 Babosas is conquered and absorbed by Hule.

--Hule finally absorbs Boyarski/Babosas--

977 Almarrón conquers and absorbs Escudor, then turns north and initiates hostilities with Gargoña and Rivera.

--The Barrier Mask is no longer in Escudor, and it's not really a big problem to reabsorbs it--

978 To help defend itself from Almarrón, Rivera agrees to be absorbed into Gargoña. While Almarrón is distracted, Nueva Esperanza begins hostilities; Cimmaron's pistoleers make quite an impression.
979 The revolution in Nueva Esperanza continues, led by General Cimmaron. Almarrón and Gargoña end hostilities, and both ratify the Treaty of Tampicos.
980 Armed with a wheellock pistol and a red steel sword, General Cimmaron leads his forces to victory over troops from Almarrón at the Battle of Hondo; his followers declare him Earl Cimmaron, and Nueva Esperanza becomes the centre of the newly independent Cimmaron County. Dissatisfied with recent leadership, the people of Almarrón revolt against their leader and overthrow him. Making use of old Traladaran philosophies, they establish a democracy.

--The descendents of Sotto reorganizes themselves--

981 Cristobal relinquishes claims on its holdings, except for one tower and a few square miles of land; the Lord of Torre Cristobal gives up the title "Barón" but maintains independence from other powers.

--Part of Cristóbal mystery...--

984 Saragón ratifies the Treaty of Tampicos.

--No secrets here--

985 Copetez and Bigotillos unite through marriage; the lands are merged to form the State of Guadalante. Guadalante ratifies the Treaty of Tampicos.

--No secrets here--

986 Doña Esperanza comes to power in Gargoña and leads her state into peace, beginning a policy of neutrality regarding all the other baronies.

--No secrets here--

990 Cimmaron ratifies the Treaty of Tampicos.

--No secrets here--

992 The Treaty of Cortesillas, between Guadalante and Saragón, solves the question of watering rights for cattle between the two nations.

--Another treaty, no secrets here--

994 Almarrón faces a time of troubles. An opportunist seizes control of the state and declares himself dictator of the nation.

--One of the most interesting things of VotPA baronies, that later RS destroyed... no secrets here--

1005 An internal holy war begins in Narvaez. The church of Narvaez unifies the factions by providing an external enemy: the other Savage Baronies. Narvaez carries its Inquisition to the other baronies.

--Possibly related to Ixion vs Vanya situation because of the WotI; That, however, were solved rather quickly, putting followers of Ixion and Vanya side-by-side--

1006 Torreón, Vilaverde, and Texeiras ally with Narvaez, rather than fight that state. The other five baronies (Guadalante, Cimmaron, Almarrón, Saragón, and Gargoña) ally to fight against the Narvaez alliance. Gauchos and Swashbuckler "freedom fighters" prove effective against the naval power and mercenaries of the Narvaez alliance.

--Allied, followers of Ixion and Vanya fight agains followers of Valerias. except for the Ixion part, looks much like what's happening elsewhere, during the WotI--

1006 Hule attacks the Savage Baronies. The baronies end their conflict to unite against Hule.
1007 Yazi gnolls attack the baronies, which have been severely weakened by previous conflicts. The Master of Hule sets a curse on his enemies, inflicting floods and other natural disasters on the Savage Baronies.
1008 The Savage Baronies again enter into border conflicts. Tortles and other peasants revolt. In Almarrón, rebels oust their dictator and install a Barón descended from their former noble rulers. The Colonial Revolt begins, and many colonies rebel against their parent states. Yazak goblinoids attack throughout the Savage Coast.

--WotI events--
