Thyatian and Alphatian names for planets

by Travis Henry

I wrote about this awhile back and Francisco Navarro independently touched on it way back in 2002

Yet when I look back at the various fanon planet lists in the Vaults, I see this has still been overlooked.

Basically, I feel it's "going too far" to suggest an entirely new set of names for the classical seven planets of Mystara-space, when there are already Official names for those planets imbedded within the Thyatian and Alphatian weekday names.

Menzter = Thyatian Calendar Words = Alphatian Calendar Words
Sun = Sol = La
Mercury = Tser = Wo (Though I'm not sure how this fits with M-Mercury being created later!)
Venus = Nyt = Fla
Earth = Yarth (Mystara) = Sud
Moon = Luna (Matera) = Ma [On analogy, Patera is probably "Pa" in Alphatian.]
Mars = Grom = Ti
Jupiter = Mol = Tha
Saturn = Losh = Se

***
This is less solid, but there might also be implications as to what certain Immortals are called in Thyatian and Alphatian:
Odin = Tser = Wo
Thor = Mol = Tha
Freya = Nyt = Fla
Khoronus = Losh = Se (The Greek titan Cronus was often conflated with the Greek "Father Time" Chronus.)

Note the phonetic resemblance of the Alphatian words:
Odin/Wotan = Wo
Thor = Tha
Freya = Fla
